Studio Upstairs is an art therapy charity whichenables adults (18+) with mental health and emotional difficulties to engagewith art making and develop and grow in a supportive community. Our art studio in Bristol is facilitated by Studio Managers who are experienced art therapists as well as practicing artists. Studio members attend one day per week on Monday, Tuesday or Thursday and use the studio to make artwork, working alongside the rest of the group (max 15 people), with technical assistance and emotional support from the Studio Managers. Art materials and tea and coffee are provided. Regular reviews are held to reflect on members' progress. There are also group meetings to discuss artwork and ideas as well as exhibitions and outings. Members pay a membershipfee to attend the studio, usually through an Adult Social Care or NHS Care Plan. Please contact us for more details about joining the studio.
