Who are we?

Bristol, North Somerset & South Gloucestershire (BNSSG) First Call positively addresses the complex challenges faced by people who may be living with variable needs (e.g., high levels of frailty, multiple health problems, insufficient family support). First Call is a flexible service that offers up to 12 weeks of tiered support to increase people’s confidence and support them to remain independent at home for longer.

Anybody can referrer into the service.

  • For self-referrals, family/friends you are more than welcome to ring us on  0117 3012601. Referral line is open from 9:00-1630. Any referrals sent outside of these hours will be reviewed and processed accordingly.
  • Hospital referrals can be given directly to the team outside of these hours, last referral being accepted at 18:30.

Criteria to use this service

• Over 18 years old

• Lives within Bristol, North Somerset or South Gloucestshire area

• Gives consent to receive the service

• Have a low dependency/ do not have medical needs that require admission to hospital
