A course for anyone who needs additional support to get ready to start volunteering. It focuses on what volunteering is, transferable skills, building self confidence and personal development. It highlights the benefits of volunteering. During the course, attendees work with the Advisor towards securing a volunteering role and are monitored after course completion to measure longer term progress. The support offered is tailored to help beneficiaries secure a role that match their individual skills and employability goals and includes help with CV writing, interview practice, job search guidance and referral to specialist organisations/learning providers is provided as required. The course lasts for 6 weeks and each session last for 2 hours.

The start date for the next course  is 13th January  2026 which will finish on 17th February 2026.  Each session starts at 1000 am and finishes at 1200 pm
